Indonesian Glasgow

Last night, it's the unforgettable moment for me. I invited all my friends to my kitchen, tried Indonesian food. It was chicken soup, that in Indonesia called "soto". I had prepared all things for a week, like "bamboe" spices (I bring it from Indonesia), garlics, gingers, potatoes, prawn crackers (I bought it from Tesco. Finally, I found crackers!), rice (but my Japanese friend, Taiki had already cooked it for me *arigatou! very kind of you*), white noodle (called so'un), and the last but not the least, chicken !

When they asked to me, "do you good in cooking?" I said, "no, really". "like cooking? do you often cooking in ur country?". I said," Honestly, I'm not used to cook in my country. but, when I realized I will go far away from my moms, I try it." wohooho... And yesterday, I 'try' to cut the whole chicken.. actually thats my 1st time. I've ever seen my moms did that. It took long time to cut it and I've to cut others beside chicken; potatoes, garlics. oh, I'm not expert in cutting. fortunately when all my friends came, they helped me. *thank you, guys! :))*

When all ready, everyone enjoyed it. My Vietnamese friend said, "Youre very good. The food taste is traditional, feel like in Indonesia. This is my first time feel tasted the traditional food." Everyone said the same. I feel honored and surprised. Hopefully, I can cook other Indonesian menus here, in Glasgow. :)
